Katie Variations

The composer here paints an enchanting musical portrait of his granddaughter in her many moods. The innocence of youth is depicted in the opening theme, followed by variations in turn portraying a determined, marching Katie, a sultry Katie doing a Latin Dance in 5/4, a sleepy Katie lullaby, and a galloping Katie tearing madly around the house.
