Grace

This remarkable work of power and beauty was inspired by the traditional hymn "Amazing Grace".  The composer uses fragments of the original melody as motives to construct new melodies, building to a climactic moment near the end, where the original melody is unveiled in all of its glory.  Having written this work for the deceased father of his friend, the composer reminds us that a simple life lived in grace is a remarkable life.
