Taking an early baroque keyboard work with a chromatic theme and beautiful counterpoint, the transcriber has crafted a classic work for the modern wind band. Optional instruments used in the colorful sound palette include English horn, soprano saxophone, and flugelhorn. This gripping and unique arrangement is equally effective for large symphonic bands or small wind ensembles.
